  • WHAT IS BOTOX/ DYSPORT/XEOMIN? HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT?
Botox/Dysport/Xeomin are all medications comprised of purified forms of Botulinum Toxin, and work as temporary muscle relaxing agents. These medications work by blocking nerve signals in the muscles injected. By targeting muscles beneath, but attached to the skin, Botox/Dysport/Xeomin help reduce muscle activity that causes the skin to wrinkle over time. This action leads to prevention and softening of wrinkles over time. All 3 medications are very similar – mechanism of action, duration, and price. But like any medication, one may be more or less effective for one person when compared to another (results may vary for each individual).
  • WHO IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR WRINKLE RELAXERS?
The best candidates for Botox/Dysport/Xeomin treatments are those who are healthy, at least 18 years of age, who are not pregnant or nursing, with no history of neuromuscular diseases (such as multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, etc.), and understands the treatment process. These medications are ideal for both men and women who are concerned with their fine lines, and want to prevent or slow the aging process.
  • HOW MUCH DOES BOTOX/DYSPORT/XEOMIN COST?
Botox, Dysport, & Xeomin cost $13/unit. Typical average treatments range from 20-60 units per area treated. See each specific area for average number of units required to treat.
  • WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results are visible within 3-5 days on average, with full effect seen at 14 days.
  • HOW LONG WILL RESULTS LAST?
Results from Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are temporary. Effects usually last about 3-4 months (results may vary for each individual).
  • HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Results will be seen after your first treatment with Botox/Dysport/Xeomin. Two weeks post injection, we will reevaluate and determine if more units are needed at that time to ensure adequate coverage. We take a conservative approach with new clients at VESÉ…you can always add more, but can’t take away what you’ve already injected. Results are temporary, therefore treatments will need to be administered on a recurring basis (see longevity info above).
  • ARE BOTOX/DYSPORT/XEOMIN INJECTIONS PAINFUL?
Most clients report that the injections are tolerable and relatively painless. At VESÉ we strive to have everyone feel comfortable and relaxed during their procedures, and achieve this by using a vibration bar (distraction), cryoanesthesia (ice), and music in a spa-like atmosphere.
  • WILL I NEED TIME TO RECOVER?
There is little to no downtime after a Botox/Dysport/Xeomin treatment. Following your procedure, you should avoid lying down, applying hard pressure on the area injected (no rubbing, facials, massages, wearing hats, etc.) and avoid strenuous exercise for approximately four hours. Small areas of redness or swelling may occur at injection sites, but will dissipate over the first 30 minutes following treatment. Bruising is possible - plan 2 weeks ahead of any events/vacations. To minimize bruising, try to avoid alcohol for 48-72 hours prior to treatment. If cleared by medical provider, avoid blood-thinning products (aspirin, vitamin E, fish oil, etc.) for 5-7 days prior to injections.
  • WHAT IS DERMAL FILLER?
Dermal fillers are products composed of substances such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyl apatite, and polylactic acid (which stimulates collagen production). During the aging process, collagen, elastin, fat, and bone mass start decreasing causing skin to sag and wrinkles and folds to occur. Fillers are injected beneath the surface of the skin to replace this lost volume and fullness, restoring a youthful, refreshed, & rejuvenated appearance. The use of fillers can fill in or soften wrinkles, replace soft-tissue volume loss, volumize creases and folds of the face, fill in or soften scar depressions, and plump and hydrate lips.
  • WHO IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR DERMAL FILLERS?
The best candidates for dermal filler treatments are those who are seeing the effects of facial volume loss and descent of soft tissues that occur naturally with the aging process over time. Fillers and be used to counteract these processes, helping to restore a youthful and refreshed appearance. Additionally candidates should be healthy, at least 18 years of age, who are not pregnant or nursing, and understand the treatment process.
  • WILL THE DERMAL FILLER PROCEDURE BE PAINFUL?
At VESÉ comfort and relaxation during the injection process are a top priority! Before the procedure, topical numbing cream will be applied and/or nerve blocks will be performed to the area being treated to insure maximum comfort. Additionally, M Esthetica utilizes a vibration bar (distraction), cryoanesthesia (ice), and music to ensure comfort.
  • WILL DERMAL FILLERS MAKE ME LOOK UNNATURAL?
At VESÉ our goal is to develop an individualized treatment plan designed to meet each patient’s specific desires. Our philosophy is simple…we want your look to be natural, to be refreshed, to be timeless!
  • HOW MUCH DOES FILLER COST?
One syringe of dermal filler starts at $800. Drawing upon knowledge and expertise of the most current trends in dermal filler techniques, each patient will undergo a comprehensive consultation to establish their specific goals they wish to achieve. The total cost of each specific treatment plan will be carefully outlined prior to any injection.
  • WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results are visible immediately after treatment.
  • HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
Like any medication, duration of dermal fillers vary from client to client and treatment area to treatment area. Generally speaking, the treatment areas that have a lot of movement, such as the lips for example, will metabolize filler faster and not last as long as other treatment areas. Below is the average duration of filler based on treatment area: Cheek Filler: 9-18 months Under Eye Filler: 9-18 months Lip Filler: 6-9 months Hand Filler: 9-18 months Lower Face Filler: 9-18 months Neckline/Tech-Neck Filler: 6-9 months Jawline Filler: 9-18 months Chin Augmentation: 9-18 months Nasolabial Fold (Smile/Laugh Lines) Filler: 9-18 months Earlobe Filler: 9-18 months Temple Filler: 9-18 months
  • HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
While dermal fillers can achieve significant improvments in facial aesthetics, results are temporary and require maintenance. Frequency of repeated treatments are based on each patient’s response to filler and specific goals.
  • WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT BEFORE AND AFTER A DERMAL FILLER PROCEDURE?
Before a treatment you will want to make sure you avoid the following to help minimize swelling and bruising. Avoid alcohol for 48-72 hours before appointment, and If cleared by medical provider, avoid blood thinning products (aspirin, vitamin E, fish oil, etc.) for 5-7 days prior to injections. Additionally, avoid exercise and makeup for the duration of the day. Bruising is possible, and plan 2 weeks ahead of any events/vacations.
